Free Google Slides theme and PowerPoint template

The Resilience Gap Presentation Template is a free presentation template and an invaluable tool for illustrating the need to bridge the gap between adaptation and mitigation strategies of climate change. By offering a visually engaging design with 2 rounded squares – one for adaptation and one for mitigation – the presentation template allows organizations to quickly educate their stakeholders on the process of navigating these two distinct strategies in order to identify areas where both may be utilized, or focus resources towards one over the other.

Thanks to being compatible with both PowerPoint and Google Slides, organizations can share this simplicity across internal departments and external vendors – in whatever presentation format they have expertise with. The template gives the user an opportunity for visualizing complex ideas such as risk reduction, organizational or operational design benefits, economic development, and sustainable resource management.

The Resilience Gap is an important concept in our ever-changing world. It refers to the disparity in abilities between individuals and communities to respond to and recover from shocks or stresses. For example, highly developed countries and societies are better able to cope with natural disasters such as floods than those without access to the same resources, like infrastructure and financial capital. The Resilience Gap highlights a critical need for sharing of resources on an international level so that vulnerable people can access the support needed for a healthy recovery process. For example, emergency supplies of food or medicine can help bridge the gap between those who have enough reserves and those who do not have reserves at all. By acknowledging this gap, we can ensure that no one is left behind as we face bigger challenges like climate change in the years to come.
