Adding Placeholders

A quick way to add your text and have it automatically formatted is to add a placeholder. These work great for your titles and subtitles. That way each slide will have a consistency in formatting. To add a placeholder follow these steps:

  1. Click on the down arrow for Common Tasks and choose Slide layout. You can also right click on your slide and choose slide layout.
  2. Click on Apply or Reapply.



  3. The placeholder will appear. Click inside and start typing. The placeholder's formatting is preset if you are using a design template.
